On Monday, February 12 in Vancouver, over 2000 people celebrated the unveiling of the Official Countdown Clock for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

On Monday, February 12 in Vancouver, over 2000 people celebrated the unveiling of the Official Countdown Clock for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
VIPs made their speeches, First Nation dancers welcomed the crowds, and local Olympians offered their greeting. Everyone waited with anticipation for the unveiling.
Then, the curtain was yoinked and - low and behold - the three metre wide, six metres high Countdown Clock showed it's face.
People cheered, clapped and bounced their boomstix. (Boomstix are those red, cylindrical balloons).
